The UNI-T UTG4162A is a dual-channel function/arbitrary waveform generator designed for versatile signal emulation up to 160 MHz. It leverages Direct Digital Synthesis (DDS) to deliver stable, precise, low-distortion outputs with full-band resolution down to 1 μHz. Housed in a compact unit with an upright 8″ TFT LCD and intuitive front-panel interface, it streamlines setup and operation for both laboratory and field environments. Each channel independently supports continuous, modulation, sweep, and burst modes, with built-in sampling at 500 MSa/s and 16-bit vertical resolution.
Memory depth of up to 32 Mpts per channel and 7 GB of non-volatile arbitrary waveform storage enable complex waveform playback. Standard waveforms include sine, square/pulse, ramp, harmonic, noise, DC, and arbitrary, with frequency ranges from 1 μHz up to 160 MHz (sine) and 50 MHz (square/pulse) for the UTG4162A model. A rich set of modulation functions (AM, FM, PM, ASK, FSK, PSK/BPSK/QPSK, OSK, PWM, SUM, QAM) meets communications testing needs. Additional features include TTL-level protocol outputs (I2C, SPI, UART), frequency counter, external/internal 10 MHz clock I/O, and LAN/USB connectivity for remote control and waveform upload.
Its ergonomic knobs, numeric keypad, and context-sensitive help further enhance usability. With these capabilities, the UTG4162A serves R&D, educational labs, maintenance diagnostics, and advanced signal testing effectively.
